Overview
ES Chemistry and Sustainability invites all chemical research committed to solving sustainability challenges. The journal reports advances in chemistry and its allied branches, which include chemical research, engineering sciences, and applied chemistry. We believe that; to guarantee the coherent and complete growth of research, policy, and practical methods, sustainable chemistry and green chemistry methodologies should be jointly investigated in an integrated manner and utilized to create new approaches. As an inclusive journal, we publish multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary research outcomes as well as traditional chemical science contributions. We seek contributions from the academic, research, industry, and regulatory bodies.
ES Chemistry and Sustainability aims to publish articles in the field of pure and applied chemistry research, including new methods and techniques for chemical processes with sustainable goals and their universality through readily available data from affordable sources.
ES Chemistry and Sustainability aims to cover the following general topics and the extension of those:

- Bio-based platform and fine chemicals

- Alternative and benign chemical processes (microwaves, ultrasounds, photochemistry, electrochemistry, flow chemistry, etc.)

The authors are encouraged to use Journal's template for the manuscript preparation and submission. This will be more convenient to the Editors and the Reviewers to evaluate the manuscript. To download the templates and formats, please visit here
Special Issues
The ES Chemistry and Sustainability does not have regular special issues. However, the experts, especially the authors from the journal, can organize papers with the same topic to form a virtual special issue. It normally contains 10 to 15 papers, which are published in the last three years. This special issue will be displayed in the special issue area (link). All interested experts should prepare a proposal on the specific topic and selected papers. After receiving the proposal for the virtual special issue, Editor-in-Chief and selected Associate and Executive Editors will evaluate the proposal. A decision is expected within three weeks from the date of submission.

Processing Time
Depending on the manuscript type and number of submissions, the average manuscript turnaround time (the average time from submission to initial decision) will be around 10 days and the submission to acceptance ranges from 6-7 weeks.
After acceptance, the citable just-accepted manuscript with doi will be online in one week and another 4-5 weeks to get the final corrected article online after getting the authors’ final proof. The print version will be available 2-3 weeks later after the online volume is issued.
There is no embargo period for the accepted manuscripts, and authors may place their articles in a repository of their choice immediately upon publication.
