In the present work, nanocomposites of TiO2/Fe2O3/polyvinyl alcohol were synthesized from the solution phase method. The synthesized nanocomposites were efficiently applied for the potocatalytic degradation of the dyes in a solution phase. Batch operations were carried out in liquid phase to observe the effect of various experimental parameters such as pH, adsorbent dose, concentrations of dyes and time. The evaluated dyes include Congo red, Crystal violet and Methyl red dyes. The optimum conditions for these parameters were evaluated. From the result, it can be concluded that the prepared nanocomposites can be utilized as photocatalysts for the degradation of the dyes in the basic condition.
