Abstract

Viral diseases are one of the leading cause of death of livestock animals. Department of Animal Husbandary of various states are working to control epidemic viral diseases. Herein, we have discussed several livestock viral diseases found in domestic animals. The viral diseases are classified based upon animal categories such as equine viral disease, bovine viral diseases, swine viral diseases, avian viral diseases and viral diseases found in sheep and goat. Further, the various routes of diagnosis including PCR and real time PCR are discussd in detail. The symptoms and treatment of the disease are discussed in detail.
