The climate conditions are drastically changing across the globe. The automobile sector is the major source of air pollution. The automobile sector is researching alternative fuels in light of the depletion of non-renewable fuel sources. At the moment, ethanol is a desirable fuel to mix with gasoline made from different feedstock’s and trash. In order to fulfil the need for energy and contribute to decreasing changes in climate by 2030, research is being conducted on a higher proportion of gasoline mixed with ethanol, above the 10% ethanol that is now commercially available. While 2GE is currently being under developing stage and much research is being done regarding first-generation (1GE) ethanol's commercialization derived from biofuel is already commercially available. It was noted that the nitrogen oxides (NOx) progressively dropped from premium gasoline (PG) to PG + 60% E + 10%P. The fuel blend with PG plus 60% E and 10% P has the lowest NOx. When paraffin was added to premium gasoline-ethanol blends, the amount of hydrocarbon emissions was reduced by 25%. There was combined influence of ethanol and paraffin on the hydrocarbon emissions of spark ignition (S.I) engine. The lowest CO emissions were recorded at 24° before top dead centre (TDC) for both paraffin’s added to fuel mixtures.
